Frequently asked questions
How should I store my cookies?
Decorated sugar cookies should NOT be refrigerated. They will stay fresh in their sealed package for up to 1 month.
Decorated cookies freeze very well.
If you’d like to freeze your cookies, place the sealed cookie in an air-tight container and freeze for up to 6 months. To thaw, place the unopened container on your counter for a couple of hours. Letting them thaw completely before opening will help prevent color-bleed from the icing.
Do you provide gluten-free cookies?
At this time I am not offering gluten-free cookie options.
Can you make this cookie I found on Instagram? Etsy? etc.?
I am not comfortable copying another artist’s work. I will use any photos you send as inspiration, but will create a unique set of cookies for your custom order.
How much advance notice do you need for a custom order?
You should book your order as soon as possible. I greatly appreciate at least a 1-month notice. However, I will always do what I can in a “cookie emergency,” so it never hurts to ask!
Can you ship cookies?
My cottage food license allows me to ship cookies within California.
Why are they so expensive?
Decorated sugar cookies are incredibly time-consuming; most people don’t realize how much time is involved. If you’re trying to keep your costs down, here are some details to AVOID, as they take more time:
1. Writing on the cookies, such as names, dates, etc.
2. Gold or silver metallic accents. Getting good coverage with these often takes several coats, with dry-time in between. (I use only “edible” metallic accents on my cookies.)
3. Designs that require more than 3 icing colors.
